Before your ATV/UTV weekend: a quick planning checklist
A little planning makes more room for a good weekend. Start with the official trail map, check conditions, and keep a few local outings in mind.
Save a trail map before you leave. Our Area Guide links to Bayfield County’s official ATV/UTV map, trail information, and current conditions report. Download the map while you have good reception, and check the report close to your trip. Conditions and closures can change.
Choose your route ahead of time. Follow designated routes and posted signs, and review the county’s registration and trail-pass guidance. Ask the resort about getting from your site to the route you have in mind.
Leave room for another kind of day. The Iron River National Fish Hatchery offers the Simpson Trail, a picnic area, a playground, and visitor-center aquariums. Our Area Guide links to its official visitor information so you can check hours before heading out.
Plan a meal at the resort. The restaurant page has our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, plus the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday offerings listed on our printed menu. Check the restaurant’s current hours when planning your visit.
For a longer home base, reservations are open for 2027 seasonal RV sites. Use the seasonal inquiry form to ask about available sites, the right fit for your RV, and the details of your stay.
